Cielo Falls was awarded the Environmental Conservation Award
by Mountain Homes and FRIENDS of the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Blue Ridge Parkway, NC - October 15, 2007 - This award is presented to organizations for their outstanding work in maintaining our Southern mountains. The nominations for this award were many but, “as judges, that allowed us to select from the very best” said Norma Lugar, Editor of Mountain Homes.

Mountain Homes and FRIENDS is a not-for-profit organization with thousands of members dedicated to protecting and preserving the beauty of North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains. Cielo Falls shares the convictions of Mountain Homes and FRIENDS and will continue its efforts to conserve and safeguard the natural wonders of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Cielo Falls is now an honorary member of FRIENDS of the Blue Ridge Parkway and will be featured in the late fall issue of Pinnacle Living's Mountain Homes: Southern Style.
